ZE FRENCH OLD SCHOOL SKATE JAM

Marseille 12-13-14 July

Hello all you ageing rippers ! This year, you have a good reason to join the party. Our usual get-together will be at the legendary Marseille skatepark, which was the European proving ground for people in need of transitions in the 90’s. Nowadays, it’s another good skatepark, but the topless beach is still there, and there is no weather factor (Except maybe excessive heat, but that’s what you’re looking for, right ?).

Anyway, our usual banked slalom comp will be on Sunday 13th, starting at 11am, with the best prizes in the 40 and over category. In the evening, more sessioning (yes, the park has lights) and partying. We’ll be handing out trophies as usual, and the ones still standing can session all night if they want to.

First day, the gnarlers out there could session the Valmente bowl , and we’ll all meet again next day at the Gardanne ditch  which is a cool place to hang out and session.

After that, there are  a couple of private spots to discover,like Bruno’s vert ramp, the Caverne, the gardanne ditch and  the Holenite bowl, but we’ll be improvising, as ever. Since it depends on how many of you’re are staying until next day, we’ll see ...
